Purchasing sheepskins
2023 pricing and availability
Sheepskins are $170 for a standard 2'x3' size. We have a couple larger ones for $230.
Our flock has varied genetics, so each sheepskin is a unique color, texture, and size.
When possible, plan to visit the farm to pick out just the right one.
As of November 1, 2023, we have 14 sheepskins available.
We sometimes have "seconds" for a lower cost, perfect for dog beds or craft projects.
Helga, our farm dog pictured below, loves hers!

How we make our sheepskins
Our sheepskins are from our own flock. Lambs are born in March, and spend the spring, summer, and fall on our pastures. At fall sheep harvest, the skins are carefully removed, and salt-cured for a few weeks. Once properly salted and dried, they are delivered to Bucks County Fur Products (a small family owned & operated business) for tanning.
What we use our sheepskins for
- Much of the furniture is our household is...budget-conscious. But you don't notice when it's draped in a cozy, soft sheepskin. We put one on the back of each of our chairs, and pile multiple sheepskins on loveseats.
- Sheepskins make cozy playmats for little ones.
- Our farm dog has her own special sheepskin (pictured below) and it cleans easily with a few swipes of the dog brush.
- We also use some of our larger skins as sleeping pads...when the house is overflowing with guests, we'll put a bunch on the floor for a warm and soft sleeping space.
